Yo my peeps(I know there are a few of you out there)it's been a while since I've updated this blog of mine...Anyways,I've been busy lately and the reason I don't post so much anymore is cuz I got lazy. I didn't want to scan stuff in...fortunately,I found a good solution...I'm taking pics of the art now,and it's much easier to get on this blog.

speedpaint for this morning...this girl was pretty and white...now she's ugly and looks a bit asian.

speedpaint for tonight...finished early...I'm getting used to painting on my tablet...It's such a change from doing art on my cintiq at work...I guess its good practice though. I'll try to do a paint at work to see if theres any difference. Anyways,I'm getting happier with painting,but I'm realizing that my pallette sucks...oh well,I'll work on that...

Finally,regarding Keith and the Girl. I recently got a post asking how many hits I get on my blog from Keith and the Girl. I'm not sure,I don't really know how to check that. I'm not sure if the guy was just curious or wondering if I was doing something shady. I'm definitely not doing anything shady. I'm just a fan of the podcast,and I think they deserve as many fans as they can get.

I could care less if my blog becomes famous. Its just a record of my progress as an artist. I don't even put my good work on this blog...just my experiments...I don't know what else to say,except,I'm still gonna promote Keith and the Girl. hehe,I turned a beautiful girl ugly with this peice...still I had fun and learned some stuff. One thing I learned,is that I gotta start making some custom brushes. Being lazy and using the default brushes is not working great. I try to do some this weekend...

Uhhh,getting better...but still not there. I like working chunky,it's something I wanna develop further...so if you're following my progress(probably not,hehe)then look forward to alot more chunkiness in the future. Long time...new year

Wow...long time no post. I went on a month break from drawing during the Christmas holidays...you know how it is...too much stuff to do...couldn't do any art. Anyways,I be back...been doing art again slowly over the last month. Even now I still feel real rusty.

First art I'm posting in the new year...I'm trying something new...speedpainting. I really wanna get my speed up,especially for my work. This first piece is pretty much my first speed painting ever. It's harder than I thought. I'll try to keep it up though. Then I can look at my work in a years time,and hopefully see myself get progressively better. The piece is very crude and embarassingly bad,but I'm looking at it as a learning experience,so it's all good.

Hey All,

Here's the cleaned version of a pic I did a little while back. Gonna go to the coloring stage soon. Anyways,what's new? Not much...Bought some DJ gear,gonna do a bit of mixing. Scratching just doesn't seem to do it for me.

I'm also doing alot of life drawing,gonna start painting again sometime in the near future. Just doing as much as I can to make myself better as an artist.

On another note,I saw the Borat movie. I'm a big fan of his,so I was really excited to see the movie. I guess it was hyped too much,because I didn't like it as much as I expected. I mean,the movie is funny...I just wasn't laughing all the way through like I was with Nacho Libre. Maybe because I didn't expect Nacho Libre to be a good movie...Oh well,I guess I'll go see Bond next. Maybe even the fountain...

anyways,today,I was on the bus and this old guy came to the front of the bus and told the bus driver to speed up so he can catch his next bus...so the bus driver deliberately slowed down and purposely made it so that he couldn't make the light. I couldn't believe it. I guess theres some lesson to be learned there.

Also,yesterday,I saw Kenny from "Kenny vs. Spenny"walking up Robson street. Man I love that show...

Yo what's up everybody?

Finally,I'm keeping this blog a regular thing. I don't know what it is,but I'm drawing alot more lately. I'm really inspired by artists like ashley wood and J.C Leyendecker. They have really cool styles.

Anyways,I'm planning an artbook some time with a bunch of friends from work. I'll post more news here when I learn more about it. I'm really excited,and I'm gonna do all new artwork for this book...

Sketchsession today...had a good time. They were playing Destinys Child's Christmas album at the coffe shop where we hung out...

A little too early for those songs,but it reminded me of the Christmas' I had as a child...not cuz of Beyonce's voice,just the songs which they sang. Not my favorite album,but some songs when sung by the right people,can be really great. I like the Boney M Christmas album for some reason.



I also checked out Sarah McLachlan's new christmas album and it sounds kinda cool...she doesn't over do it like some other musicians.

Anyways,heres a weird drawing...My friend Sunny recommended that I add mustaches...so I did...

No art

No new art,just a few strange things I've seen lately.

Anyways,have you ever seen a U.F.O before?

I'm positive that I did.

About a week ago,my family came up from Calgary to Vancouver to visit for the Canada day long weekend. We were driving along,I was riding shot gun,and I noticed something kinda bright in the sky. I looked up,and at first I was confused. The object wasn't a bird,it was too short to be a Boeing and too long to be one of those small Cessna planes. It looked like a silverish white almond flying in the sky.

It was moving pretty quick. It didn't zip around,but just flew forward in a constant motion,faster than any plane I've ever seen,but slow enough for me to track it. Anyways,it was a beautiful day,bright blue sky and no clouds anywhere near the silverish object. The weird thing is as I was tracking this object,in a split second,it suddenly vanished. It was like it turned on it's cloaking device(he,like star trek). It's not like it faded as it got farther away,it was still visibly big from where I was watching it,and then it was gone just like that.

The crappy thing was,I just got a new cell phone with a camera,and I didn't remember that I could have taken a picture of the So,I was kicking myself for that.

I think it's a U.F.O,but that's just my opinion.


Another funny thing I saw that same day,an asian guy with long hair a Hitler mustache. I guess you had to be there. It was pretty shocking. I took a picture of it with my camera phone,but I think the guy knew I was taking a picture of him,so out of guilt,I deleted the picture.

That's it...I'm off to watch UFC 61 bitter rivals...
My picks are...Tito punishing Shamrock,and the pit bull knocking Silvia out. I like tim silvia,but I think if the pit bull catches him with one of those punches,he's going down.

well...As you can see by this post,I haven't exactly kept up with my new years resolution. I'm still trying to make an effort though. Still trying to get some life drawing in and work on drawing women. I'll post some when I'm not totally embarrased to show em.

Anyways,busy with work. I'll try to post weekly or semi weekly. I draw new stuff all the time. The problem is,most of the time I'm too tired to post em. I'll try to make more of an effort though.
